Description Of Work: Designed my kitchen and bathroom cabinets based on my measurements, ordered cabinets & assembled them for installation.
Member Comments: After waiting for the big box stores to contact me to design my kitchen & bath as a result of my online inquiry, I was told by Home Depot that it would take 6 weeks to order them. I found Centex online and contacted Lane Mundine. He took the measurements I had and promptly designed and ordered kitchen & bathroom cabinets. Besides the fact that my cabinets were ready to install in about 3 weeks, THE PRICE WAS ABOUT 60% LESS than Home Depot! I would highly recommend Centex Cabinets to everyone, especially those that have been through the hassle of dealing with the big box stores. These cabinets were solid wood and workmanship was outstanding.

Description Of Work: I ordered my kitchen cabinets from Centex. David worked with me to incorporate the features that I wanted and answered all my
questions about cabinet design. He offered useful suggestions, as well, that didn't cost a lot of money. Once we had the details worked out, he ordered the cabinets, and they arrived about one week later. The cabinets were ready to hang.

Member Comments: Initially, I wanted to redo my existing kitchen cabinets and add two more, but found that the price was going to be almost the same price as having all new cabinets. My old cabinets did not have all the new bells and whistles, i.e., European hinges, soft-close drawers, etc., so it made sense to replace them.
I saw the ad for Centex online. They have extensive details about their cabinets and how they are made. I was impressed, so I measured my kitchen according to the directions they gave online, and made an appointment with David. He was so helpful. Not only was the cost less than other cabinet places (including the chain discount stores), but the quality and looks of my cabinets were exactly what I had envisioned. I could not be happier with the service, the experience, and my cabinets. They have a high quality
product with the kind of old-fashioned, straightforward, and efficient service that can be hard to find these days.

Description Of Work: We purchased cabinets, handles and a trash pull out from them. They also designed our kitchen. They did not install the cabinets but they did refer us to one of "their" installers that installs a lot of their cabinets.
A few weeks ago, they designed our bathrooms and sold us new vanities, sinks, faucets and a linen closet. I don't think they sold sinks the first time we used them.
Member Comments: We decided it was time remodel our condo. We started shopping for cabinets and were shocked at the price and in many cases the quality. Frankly, everything we found was either way too expensive or was just too expensive and not made of wood. I didn't even know they made cabinets that were not wood. I was even more shocked to learn that they wanted that kind of money for particle board. Frankly, we decided that we couldn't afford new cabinets.
About a year later, my wife found Cenex on the internet. We went to their website and really liked what we read. But, we had our doubts. We called Randy and set an appointment. He asked us to bring some measurements to our appointment. When we went to the appointment, Randy showed us the cabinets and we picked out the dark shaker cabinets.
We then sat down and he spent an hour designing our kitchen. We had gone in with the intention of just putting the exact same cabinets in that we had taken out. But, he had some ideas that not only gave us more space, but also made our kitchen look better. I'd guess we have at least 50% more storage space than we had previously (we extended one wall that was previously being wasted). We also liked his idea of adding a trash pull out.
We ordered the cabinets a couple weeks later. They were ready a couple weeks after that. We had them delivered and Iganacio (one of the installers Randy said they often use) came and installed them. Ignacio was messy but he was professional and did a good job.
It's been almost two years and everything still works perfectly. We had another contractor scratch a cabinet. Randy got a touch up pen that fixed it pretty well. While I wouldn't say it made it like new, it's pretty hard to even tell where the scratch was.
Our only issue was with the handles we purchased (stainless steel bars). A few came in bent slightly. But, I think that was the fault of the handle manufacturer and Randy replaced them within a couple days of our bringing it to his attention.
We have changed almost everything in our condo. We've found that most things don't go as planned and frankly there are a lot of incompetent people in the construction industry. While we did have the issue with the handles and Ignacio was messy, the cabinets were probably the smoothest and best experience of anything we've had done. Really can't say enough about our experience with Centex. We would highly recommend them.
When we redid our bathrooms, we used some of the same contractors and some different ones. They were definitely one of the ones we re-used. While that was a smaller project, they did an equally impressive job.

Description Of Work: I remodeled my home and I purchased cabinets through CENTEX CABINETS. Centex doesn't install but they helped me find a contractor. I really did my homework before making this purchase because the cabinets were the most expensive part of my remodel. I'm happy I went with Centex and I would recommend them to my family and friends. I don't know anyone in need of cabinets right now but if anyone I know needs cabinets in the near future I will definitely give them David's number!
Member Comments: I measured my kitchen and they helped me design my new kitchen with all of the special things that I was interested in having (lazy susan, roll out shelfs and a real modern look). I am very happy overall.

Description Of Work: Centex Cabinets installed cabinets in one bathroom and is going to be installing cabinets in the second bathroom in the summer.
Member Comments: What he has done so far, it is excellent. He made a stand for the granite counter top, two cabinets, and sinks. He also framed up two mirrors that we had. We thought that his price was very reasonable. We had a lot of work going on at that time. He was actually cheaper than we buying somewhat custom-made cabinets from a store were. This way he made our cabinets, we got what we wanted and he was definitively cheaper. We love them and he did an excellent job on them. He got all the specs right, the color and the staining of the wood. He put shelves in that are easy to move around and they work fantastic. We were very fortunate to find him. We like him so much we went ahead and signed him up for the second bathroom as soon as we are ready to get started on it. Whatever we set up as a schedule, he kept it. It was refreshing to work with him. We could count on him, which was really nice.

Some written reviews:

"I went to Home Depot and got a quote for their Kraftmaid kitchen cabinets. It was $8310. Centex Cabinets gave me a quote that included more features and was still almost exactly half, $4,143. Plus it was for a wood cabinet instead of the mdf I would have gotten with Kraftmaid."

"We just love our shaker cabinets. They exceeded expectations in both look and service. We drove from San Antonio because we were saving over $2500."

"I needed new kitchen cabinets for a house I was flipping. Usually I just find the cheapest cabinets I can. For that reason, I initially looked at their oak line.It was already better than what I normally used. I asked about theginger glazed maple cabinets and decided they were so reasonably priced that I would go with them. They made for a beautiful kitchen. The house sold very quickly. The buyer said one of the things they reallyliked were the cabinets/kitchen. They were much nicer than the cabinets in the other houses they had looked at. Thank you. "

These are awesome and beautiful cabinets! I absolutely love the soft close drawers in my new kitchen.

Randy was extremely knowledgeable and helped us so much throughout our entire remodeling process. It was extremely easy getting a kitchen design with only having the kitchen dimensions for him to work with. Morgan, the installer was professional and was helpful as well.

I am so happy with my beautiful new kitchen thanks to Centex Cabinets. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking to purchase new kitchen cabinets that does not want to spend a fortune. The price was significantly lower than the quotes I got from Home Depot and a custom cabinet carpenter but the quality of the cabinets is superb!

We got all the upgrades with quality and professionalism at an affordable price. How can you go wrong with that?

My review is going to be a little long because I really feel like people need to know about this company.

Like most people, I started my search for new kitchen cabinets at the big box stores, then a custom cabinet company here in town. As the numbers started coming in, however, something definitely was not adding up. The quotes I was getting were sky high, but the quality was not. I knew that there must be someone out there breaking the price-inflated cabinetry cartel. I finally stumbled upon Centex at the point where I was about to give up my search.

Here's what I think other people should know about Centex.

1) There are no schmoozey, slippery sales people. Quite the opposite, actually. The guy who helped me owns the business. Everybody there seems very down to earth and are more focused on the technical aspects of meeting your needs rather than on how they can make a commission off of you.

2) My cabinets were waiting for me to pick up in just ONE WEEK. The custom cabinet maker I spoke to wanted 3 weeks just to create the designs. Randy designed my kitchen on his computer in 10 minutes and emailed me cool 3D pics while we were talking.

3) The quality of the cabinets I received is astonishing; birch plywood boxes, (i.e. no MDF anywhere), solid maple fronts, (i.e. no veneers), beautiful, deep stain finish, heavy duty rails with soft close drawers, (included), wood shelves, even my lazy Susan shelves are made from wood.

4) And the best part? I paid between 1/2 and 1/3 the price quoted to me by Home Depot, for much higher quality cabinets. HD ball-parked me $5700-$8500. I took my Centex cabs home for $3050 tax included. WTF, Home Depot!?

If you are about to buy even one cabinet for your house, I strongly urge you to talk to Centex. Check out their showroom, ask some questions. If you've done any other shopping around, it will quickly become obvious that Centex is about half the price of their competitors. If you're doing an entire kitchen, that means $1000's in savings.

Thank you Centex. My kitchen looks incredible!

I keep referring Centex Cabinets to my clients. All the ones that have used them have loved the whole process. Real wood cabinets, not press-board. Normally a 2-3 week turn around time. Roughly 60% less than the box stores and much better quality. Its a no brainer.

Great value. Quick delivery. Very easy to work with.

My husband and I had been shopping for new kitchen cabinets & bathroom vanities. But, everything we looked at was either too expensive in the case of custom cabinets or too expensive and poor quality in the case of the big box stores. We then came across Centex Cabinets on Yelp.

We looked at their website and called to set an appointment. We went in for the appointment and met with Lane. He was a young guy but very knowledgeable. He designed oir kirchen and gave us a quote in less time than anywhere else we had been. Plus, he asked us what we wanted in our kitchen. Something most of the other places neglected to do.

We were very impressed not only with the quality ( my husband really loves that they are all wood) but also the price. In fact, the price was so reasonable that we were able to add various accessories that we really wanted. For example I love the rollout trays and my husband really wanted a trash pull out. We also added spice racks and other things to make our kitchen the kitchen we really wanted.

Their guys delivered the kitchen in about 3 weeks . They don't do installation. I was concerned about this at first. But, they referred us to an several installer they work with a lot. We chose Armonzo. He was fantastic. He and his crew did outstanding work, were polite and courteous, and cleaned up after themselves.

We did have 1 door that was warped. But, even that was no real problem. Lane sent one of their guys out with a replacement door within about two weeks. Everything ended up perfect.

Overall we are very satisfied customers. I would recommend anyone looking for new kitchen cabinets or bathroom vanities to call Lane. I would also recommend that you use our Armanzo.

This is the place to go for customer service. I've spent the last couple of months trying shopping around for kitchen cabinets. When I sat down with Lane, he walked me right through the process and pricing was very straight forward and reasonable. I will definately see Lane for any cabinets I need in the future.

After shopping the big box stores as well as some custom cabinet places, I purchased my cabinets from Centex. They are not only well made (no MDF, soft close, full extension drawers for example) but they are beautiful. And the price was about 1/2 of what I was quoted at the big box stores. The quality is amazing, and it is standard, not an upgrade like other places.
I was also impressed with their service. Dealing with a wood product, there is always a chance for problems, variations, etc. I had just a couple minor problems--a small chip in a door, and a drawer that didn't work quite right. The installer fixed the drawer on the spot, and Randy got me a replacement for the chipped door immediately. No questions, no arguments.
I have to admit...I work for them now. But I went to work for them because I was so happy with my kitchen and love helping other people have an experience as great as mine. I would encourage anyone shopping for cabinets to check Centex and see how much more you can get for your money.

Lane was so helpful even though we did not schedule an appointment and just showed up. They sit down with you and go over the entire layout of the kitchen cabinet by cabinet. The cabinets are some of the best quality around. ALL wood. The best part is that they come in at almost half the cost of some custom cabinet bids we received! Lane also gave good recommendations for installers! 2 thumbs up!!

I am in the process of building a new home after my older Austin home was destroyed by fire.

I purchased cabinets at centex after shopping around.

The first thing I do when I invite people over to my new place is to show them the kitchen and the cabinets are a huge part of that. My kitchen looks fantastic. Thanks! I probably won't need cabinets for a while but if I ever do - I'll know where to go!

Excellent customer service experience courtesy of Lane. He was extremely knowledgable when I came in and answered all of my questions in a very thorough manner. He made sure that I fully understood the entire process and was extremely patient during my visit. I try to be as of an informed consumer as I can be so I'd done my homework but was still blown away by his ability to help me really understand what I was purchasing from start to finish. Will definitely be back!
